# TheraBee > TheraBee is an AI clinical notes tool for therapists. It listens during a therapy session (in person or telehealth) and writes a structured, secure progress note in SOAP, DAP, BIRP or Summary format that the therapist pastes into any EHR. It costs $0.33 a session with no monthly fee, is HIPAA compliant, deletes session audio once the note is written, and never uses client data to train AI. TheraBee was built inside a Utah-based group practice of 50+ clinicians. Sign up: https://app.therabee.ai/signup (first 3 sessions free, no credit card required). Log in: https://app.therabee.ai/login. Support: support@therabee.ai. ## How it works 1. TheraBee listens while the therapist focuses on the client. 2. When the session ends, the note is ready in SOAP, DAP, BIRP or Summary format. Formats can be switched on any note after the session. 3. The therapist pastes the note into their EHR. There is no integration to set up. ## Pricing - TheraBee Lite: $0.33 a session. No monthly fee. Notes in SOAP, DAP, BIRP or Summary. Audio deleted when the note is written. Paste into any EHR. First 3 sessions free. - TheraBee Premium: $7.99 a month. Everything in Lite, plus full access to the Ask Bea AI assistant. 15 sessions included each month, then $0.33 a session. First month free. ## Ask Bea (Premium) Bea is an AI copilot for the work beyond the session. Drawing on each client's history, Bea can build treatment plans, prepare for the next session, give feedback on the therapist's work, draft letters and documentation, summarize the bigger picture, and create new materials. ## Privacy and security - HIPAA compliant; a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available. - The session is recorded for transcription. The recording is deleted as soon as the transcript and note are created, so no recording is stored. - Protected Health Information (PHI), including names and identifying details, is scrubbed before the note exists. - Notes, and transcripts with names and identifying details removed, are stored securely, organized by client, and kept until the therapist deletes them. Deleting a note removes it everywhere, including back-end systems. - TheraBee never uses client data to train its AI systems. ## FAQ - Do I need my client's consent? Yes. The client must agree before a session is transcribed. Consent requirements vary by state and practice setting, so therapists should consult their legal counsel and follow the laws and regulations that apply where they practice. - Can I delete a note myself? Yes, in one click, and it is gone everywhere, including back-end systems. - Which note formats does it write? SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan), DAP (Data, Assessment, Plan), BIRP (Behavior, Intervention, Response, Plan) and a plain Summary. - Does it work with my EHR? Yes, by copy and paste into any EHR. No integration needed. - Does it work for telehealth? Yes, through the computer's audio when the video session plays over the computer speakers. It cannot hear the session if the provider uses headphones. - Does it record my session? Yes, for transcription only. The recording is deleted as soon as the transcript and note are created, so no recording is stored. A transcript with names and identifying details removed stays with the note until the therapist deletes it. ## Consent guide for AI notes https://therabee.ai/consent is TheraBee's free consent kit for therapists using AI notes, whether or not they use TheraBee. The kit, sent by email, has three files: an editable consent script (.docx), a client-facing one-pager (PDF) and state-by-state recording rules (PDF). TheraBee recommends written consent from every client, whatever the state requires. Recording consent by state (general information, not legal advice; laws change and courts interpret them differently, so confirm with counsel or your licensing board): - All-party consent (everyone in the conversation must agree to a recording): California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington. - Depends on setting: Connecticut (all-party for phone and electronic communications; one-party for in-person conversations), Delaware (two state laws disagree: one lets a participant record, the other requires everyone's consent, and no appellate court has settled which governs; treat it as all-party), Michigan (courts are split on whether a participant may record without consent; treat it as all-party), Nevada (all-party for phone calls; one-party for in-person conversations), Oregon (all-party for in-person conversations; one-party for phone calls). - One-party consent (recording is allowed with one person's consent): every other state. ## Links - Home: https://therabee.ai/ - Consent guide: https://therabee.ai/consent - Sign up: https://app.therabee.ai/signup - Log in: https://app.therabee.ai/login - Contact: mailto:support@therabee.ai
